هدف: این پژوهش به‌منظور تعیین ویژگی‌های بالینی والدین کودکان آزار‌دیدهٔ هیجانی انجام شد.
روش‌بررسی: پژوهش حاضر از نوع توصیفی بوده و نمونهٔ این پژوهش شامل ۵۶نفر از والدین دانش‌آموزان دختر با و بدون آزاردیدگی هیجانی در مقطع متوسطهٔ اول بود. این افراد به‌صورت در دسترس از میان تمامی والدین دانش‌آموزان دختر در مقطع متوسطهٔ اول (راهنمایی سابق) از شهر تهران در سال تحصیلی ۹۳-۹۲ انتخاب شدند. ابزار گردآوری داده‌ها، پرسشنامهٔ آزار هیجانی نوروزی (۱۳۹۱) و آزمون شخصیت چند‌وجهی مینه‌سوتا (2-MMPI) بود. برای تجزیه‌‌و‌تحلیل داده‌ها از آمارتوصیفی استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که ویژگی‌های بالینی (خلقی، اضطرابی، هیپوکندریا، هیستری، سایکوپات، پارانوئید، اسکیزوفرنی) در والدین آزارگر هیجانی با والدین غیرآزارگر هیجانی تفاوت دارد. ۴۸درصد از والدین آزارگر هیجانی در مقیاس افسردگی و ۴۸درصد از آن‌ها در مقیاس پارانویا، نشانه‌هایی در حد بالینی داشتند.
نتیجه‌گیری: میانگین نمرات والدین غیرآزارگر در تمام مقیاس‌های بالینی کمتر از میانگین نمرات والدین آزارگر هیجانی بود. باتوجه به یافته‌های این پژوهش مبنی‌بر تفاوت ویژگی‌های بالینی در والدین آزارگر هیجانی با والدین غیرآزارگر هیجانی و نقش این ویژگی‌ها در وقوع آزار هیجانی، می‌توان با تدوین مداخلات مربوط به کودکان آزار‌دیدهٔ هیجانی، پیامد‌های منفی آن را کاهش داد و همچنین با مداخلات مربوط به والدین، از ادامهٔ آزار هیجانی توسط آن‌ها جلوگیری کرد.
